Hello! My name is Jenna St. James, and I write traditional and paranormal cozies along with romantic comedy. I currently live in the KC, MO area on five acres with James, my stepdaughter Maddy, our dog Brownie, and cat Whiskey. My mom is also staying with us right now until her heart gets better.
If you’ve read any of my books, you know I love writing characters who are smart, quirky, and strong. My stories also revolve around family, friends, and the military. My stepdaughter, Maddy, is not only one of my proofreaders, but we’ve also written a cozy series about three seniors in high school who solve mysteries with the help of their families. We were blessed to recently attend a book signing at the Mountain Lake Lodge resort in Virginia where the film Dirty Dancing was filmed years ago.
When I’m not writing, James and I enjoy going to wine and beer tastings. Maddy and James are the adventurers and love to zip line, camp, and do lots of crazy things that make my stomach drop.
Jenna writes in the genres of cozy/paranormal cozy/ romantic comedy. Her humorous characters and stories revolve around over-the-top family members, creative murders, and there's always a positive element of the military in her stories. Jenna lives on a few acres in Missouri with her fiancé, stepdaughter, dog, and cat. She is a former court reporter turned educator turned full-time writer. She has a Master’s degree in Special Education and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She also spent twelve years in full-time ministry.
When she’s not writing, Jenna likes to attend beer and wine tastings, go antiquing, visit craft festivals, and spend time with her family and friends.
